BLS Healthcare

Provider Course

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide health care to patients... in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.

ACLS Provider Course

The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex... VF/VT, PEA, and asystole), four types of pre-arrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycarida, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.

CPR for Family

and Friends Course

The CPR for Family and Friends awareness program is modular and teaches lay rescuers skills in CPR and relief of choking (foreign-body airway obstruction). It presents information about the American Heart Association adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course... also presents information on the American Heart Association pediatric infant and child Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, and how to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

Pediatric CPR Course

Heartsaver Pediatric CPR teaches lay rescuers CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for infant and child victims.

How to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, and choking for infant and child victims. Students also learn to recognize ... breathing difficulties in children.

Heartsaver CPR - Infant, Child, Adult Course

Heartsaver CPR for All Ages teaches lay rescuers CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for adult, infant, and child victims. How to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, infant and child victimsis also taught. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs... of heart attack and stroke in adults, and breathing difficulties in children.

Heartsaver First Aid Course

(Automated External Defibrillator)

The Heartsaver First Aid course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and how to use and AED. Students also learn about using barrier devices in CPR and giving first aid for choking.

The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac... arrest and foreign-body airway obstruction.

Bloodborne

Pathogens Course

This course teaches ways to prevent contracting, transferring, and prevention of the three main bloodborne pathogen diseases hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV. This course goes covers standard precautions, personal protective equipment, safe work practices, and sharps safety. What to do in case of exposure, and... your chances of contracting if exposed to one of these diseases is also covered.

PALS

Provider Course

The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is to provide the learner with information needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children and teach the skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest.

Super Sitter Course

The Super Sitter course teaches you everything you need to know to be a babysitter. It includes: child/infant CPR, basic first aid, diaper care, child feeding/bottling, environment care, and how to negotiate your fee. Lunch is provided. Upon completion you will receive: Super Sitter Certificate, American Heart... Association infant/child certification, and first aid & CPR reference booklets. Be ready for your summer baby sitting job by taking the Super Sitter course!
